Oily skin appears as a sheen where pores are visible and this gives rise to unsightly blemishes which can lead to Acne. The solution to the problem is a Nimue deep cleanse facial. It is an antibacterial, purifying treatment that involves warming the skin to open the pores. This enables the clinical extraction of blackheads and milia* (milk spots). Following this is a high frequency disinfection treatment that closes the pores. The treatment products contain Kaolin and Tea Tree oil to absorb excess oil and impurities and is suitable for all skin classifications.
* Milia are small cysts located just below the epidermis and is caused by an excess of Keratin. They are not whiteheads and should not be squeezed at home but removed by your therapist.
Oils, especially ‘Essential Oils’, play a vital part in beauty treatments. These are distillates of plants or the very essence of a plant’s fragrance. Examples are legion but here for example are: Argan Oil from Morocco packed with Vitamin E, fatty acids and proteins, Coconut Oil to keep skin moist, hypoallergenic Almond Oil for moisturising, Olive Oil, Jojoba Oil for softening the skin, Marula Oil for Acne, Lemon Balm as a shield against aging toxins, Lavender Oil for UV ray protection, Tea Tree Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil for hydration, Avocado Oil for healthy hair and nails, Eucalyptus Oil for inflamed skin, Blue Tansy Oil brimming with anti-inflammatory properties… and so on. Essential oils have been used medicinally throughout recorded history and used today for skin treatments, aromatherapy and even cancer.
